The Jim Brush bushes were planted in the landscaped area along the Green Valley Trail. They may be ceanothus cutivars--intentionally raised to have specific characteristics.

And then one day, all of the Jim Brush was gone!

And it has never been replaced. This is how it looked at the end of 2014.

By August 2018, lots of oaks were sprouting.

And what is this? It's a new Jim Brush sprouting, too!

Dried blossoms.
